Best Way to Budget for a Disney Trip

Want to know the easiest way to save money for your dream Disney trip? It’s really easy – plan ahead! It’s like a virtual layaway plan!

Let me explain….You can book Disney World trips more than a year in advance. This means that you can make payments, on your own terms, for over a year, sometimes longer! All you need to get started is a $200 deposit, which is fully refundable until 30 days from your travel date. And any payments you make toward that trip are refundable as well (with the exception of travel insurance premiums). So you can pay a little each week or once a month – whatever works best for you.

Right now you can book trips through the end of 2018. Sometime this summer, Disney will release bookings through the end of 2019, in case you really want to plan ahead! (And with the coming Star Wars Land set to open in 2019, you just might want to plan really far ahead!)

Another reason planning ahead saves you money – we watch for discounts that will save you money. If you already have a trip booked, we automatically apply that discount to your trip, assuming there is availability, which means you’re first in line on discount release days. And it costs you nothing to use our services when you stay at a Disney resort. Disney knows that planning a trip can be overwhelming so they pay us to assist you without passing that cost on to you. We help you determine which resort, park ticket, dining plan, etc., will work best for your family’s needs.

If a Disney cruise is what you’re planning for – you can book those even further in advance. And Disney rewards cruisers who plan ahead. Disney cruises are priced similarly to hotel rooms – the more full the sailing becomes, the more expensive it is to get a stateroom.

So, what are you waiting for? Bet you didn’t know it could be this easy! All you have to do is contact us – click the Start Planning button to fill out a no-obligation request for a quote, email or call one of us. Whatever works best for you! We promise to make planning your Disney trip simple – all you have to do is pack a bag!

From Muggles to Wizards: VIP Experience at Universal Studio’s Harry Potter World

Step onto Platform 9 ¾ and begin a journey where YOU become the student. YOU defend against the Dark Arts. YOU could become the Chosen One.

That’s right – We also specialize in trips to Universal Studios Orlando and there’s still time to book a Spring Break trip! And with a private VIP Harry Potter Experience, you can tour the Wizarding World of Harry Potter as only a student of Hogwarts can. Use your spells wisely and you might just graduate!Gringotts

This tour offers a really cool package to families who are big Harry Potter fans. You won’t just walk into Hogsmeade and see a bunch of stores, you’ll get to experience all of the magic and wonder hidden in this part of the park that has brought the books to life (and bypass the long lines, too!)

The fun starts before you even leave home! You’ll be “sorted” into a house and receive an acceptance letter to Hogwarts. This private, 5-hour tour is the ultimate way to immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter. You may start your journey as a muggle, but you’re sure to leave a wizard – especially after the proper wand chooses you at Olivanders Wand Shop.

And there’s so much more to Universal Studios than just Harry Potter! In addition to the Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures theme parks, there’s also a water theme park, Volcano Bay, that opened last May, and it is thrilling! Don’t like lugging a raft around a water park or waiting on the hot concrete in long lines? This park not only has some exciting rides, it has cool technology that allows you to wait “virtually” in a line! And there are no rafts to carry around!

And entertainment and dining options are endless at CityWalk. No trip would be complete without seeing The Blue Man Group!

Let’s get started planning! Our services are complimentary when you book your vacation package with us!

Star Wars Galactic Nights – an OUT OF THIS WORLD party!

Like many of you, my family LOVES Star Wars! When I realized we would be at Walt Disney World in December at the same time as a special one-night event featuring Star Wars, I decided to surprise my family with tickets. And Star Wars Galactic Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios did not disappoint! And you’re in luck because Disney has announced a return of the Star Wars: Galactic Nights special event on May 27, 2018! And it’s not too late to let us help you plan a trip!

Let me tell you a little about the adventure we had that night. When we aStar Wars Galactic Nights Credentialsrrived, we were given our “official” keepsake credentials and the program for the night. The program included a schedule of Star Wars entertainment, a map of character greeting locations and attractions, specialty food and beverage options and exclusive event merchandise. One of our favorite parts of the night was the Seize the Saga Scavenger Hunt. We were given a mission to visit eight different photo spots on “planets” throughout the park to collect stickers to add to the back of our credentials, which formed a cool Star Wars picture.

Because this is a special event that required the purchase of tickets, we were pleasantly surprised with very short wait times for the eight attractions that were open! We were able to walk right onto Star Tours and Toy Story Mania with no wait; while Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster had a short line because it was special for that night – Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster: Star Wars Edition! It had Star Wars music playing and lots of Star Wars images throughout the ride. And the outside of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was covered with Star Wars projections and videos.

The entertainment was our absolute favorite part of the party! We especially enjoyed Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge because we learned so much about the new Star Wars-themed land that is being built at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There was a panel of team SW Talkmembers from Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm that shared secrets and progress of Galaxy’s Edge, the new land that will open in 2019. Other entertainment that was offered included an Imperial March; Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple; DJ Dance Parties; Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage show; and Star Wars: A Galaxy Spectacular, which was truly one of the best fireworks shows we have ever seen!

If you are a Star Wars fan, don’t miss out on this awesome, rare opportunity to experience Star Wars Galactic Nights for yourself in May! Stay tuned for more details on this event – as well as dates tickets will go on sale.

Save Time – Order Online!

At Disney, time is precious, so I hate wasting it standing in line. Disney’s latest enhancement to the My Disney Experience app is going to save you a ton of time!

Last spring, Disney began offering a Mobile Order option at 23 Quick-Service locations, but today they finally made that option available to people who are using the Disney Dining Plan.

I tested the service last fall and it was a HUGE time-saver! It allows you to order meals and snacks on demand, pay in advance using the dining plan or a credit card and skip the line at select quick-service food and beverage locations.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1
STEP 1: Choose “Order Food” under the “My Plans” page in the app and choose your restaurant from the available selections.

Step 2
STEP 2: Select your menu options.

Step 3
STEP 3: When you arrive at the restaurant, click the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order Button,” and track the status of your order on the screen.

Step 4
STEP 4: When the screen says your food is ready, you collect your food at the designated Mobile Order Pickup location.

And that’s all there is to it! It’s really that simple!
